Should a PC/PC backstory be public? The players involved plus the GM? Private, with a log posted for all to see later? Private, with a log sent to the GM later?

Once I get this particular blog up and running, it’s going to be a sort of back-up copy of the various gaming theories I post to my LiveJournal. There is already an extended series of posts about sorcery and the Amber Diceless system, and a few short theory posts about Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition that need to come over here.
What can I say? Like all my pages, this one is a work in progress.
