Raven’s manner of speaking cracks me up. It wasn’t intentional on my part – I just started hearing her voice in that odd mish-mash of British slang and Southern-fried redneck, and it’s just so perfect for her. It just flows, even though I sometimes have to go back and clean up a little – because there’s just so many times you can say “ain’t” in a paragraph before it gets annoying.
She can straighten up and speak correctly, but she doesn’t seem to want to bother.
And then there’s the title thing – which seems to be something of a verbal tic when she’s speaking to someone in power. I’ve had to re-edit or re-think posts because she insists on a “miss” or a “Highness” or some other honorific, and I can’t bring myself to put more than one per post…
