Call of Cthulhu, 3/23

“‘I’ve gotta go file the cabinet…’ ‘What?’ ‘I’m bad at innuendos.'”

“Niiiice. We have a cursed painting now?”
“Well…”

“Pretty sure it wasn’t licensed by the state to kill people. Maybe the snake was acting in self-defense.”

“I got a job! Where all the foreigners went missing! I’m undercover.”

“Part of my plan will be to meet her when her shift is over, to walk her through the murder streets.”

“We PAID for it. I remember how badly he failed the roll. We own that cab.”

“So somewhere between fine and catastrophic failure?”

“You remember a dream you had recently – ”
“Not that one.”

“The best part about Mythos skill is that you never get what you want. It’s always worse.”

“Found: one magic painting.”
“Slightly charcoaled.”

“If you lock yourself inside a bathroom, you’re a dope.”

“You succeeded at a roll!”
“I know! I don’t know how to feel!”
“I hardly know you anymore!”

“Mystery solved! We close the door and walk away.”

“He probably came in here looking for warmth and got tangled up in a rope.”
“He probably tripped and fell into that gag.”

“So this is Schroedinger’s Will?”

“But it’s an impale.”
“Well, yes, it’s a spear.”

“The Shoggoth twines around your spear and flicks it away.”
“You can have it!”

“This would be the point for the, ‘what the fuck just happened?’ look.”

“How do you feel about things that skirt the law? It’s things that are scientific that the laws haven’t quite caught up with yet…”

“I’m afraid to ask this, but does that jog anything in my brain?”
“That is locked so far inside your little grey matter that he could walk up and introduce himself and you wouldn’t know him.”

“I would chastise you right now, except you’re completely right.”

“You’d better pull this out, because if he punches me again, I’m going to shoot.”

“I’ve never shot any of us… in this game.”

“I know who I’m going to get. I go out to the next room and get the shovel.”

“…Why are we taking the shovel?”
“That seems like a fine thing to grab.”

“Aside from being beaten, drugged, and left in a coal closet, does he look much like he did yesterday…?”

“I think you hit him a little too hard.”
“Oh, I hit him plenty hard enough at the time.”

“You took this job to figure out the mystery. Good job. Get in the cab.”
“You have no candy…”

“Uh… hopefully I’ll live through this and come back to get you.”

“There will be no money, but on your deathbed, there will be total enlightenment. That’s… coming right up.”

“I honestly don’t know if they’re there or not. This is Schroedinger’s group.”

“We’re going to create his own little padded cell.”

“This has been a really long day. It’s lasted three weeks.”

“He’ll show up eventually.”
“Except for the horrible death part.”
“There was no horrible death.”
“This time.”

“We rescued him, only to hold him captive…”

“I have already driven across the English countryside and beaten a man near to death with a shovel. I don’t know what you were doing, but I’ve had a busy day.”

“We haven’t gotten him a doctor, but we’ve put him in a bathtub. It’s a step up.”

“I believe our communication is separated by a common language…”

“When was the last time you examined a man who had beaten near to death with a shovel?”
“I think you know that.”

“It’s completely untrue that I only call you when someone has been beaten near to death with a shovel.”

“I think it’s likely.”
“I think you’re foolish.”

“Somehow I untook the picture!”
